A suspicious letter has been delivered to the residence of Bhopal MP Pragya Thakur. The letter, sent to BJP MP Pragya Thakur's house, is written in Urdu. A powder-like substance was also found with the letter, reports suggest.
As soon as Pragya Thakur's staff found the letter, they contacted Bhopal Police and senior officials reached the spot.
Police called the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team who sent the letter and the powder-like substance for examination.
Images of the letter accessed exclusively by India Today TV show that the letter contained photos of Pragya Thakur, PM Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and National Security Adviser Ajit Doval -- all crossed out.
Speaking to Aaj Tak, Pragya Thakur said, "This letter could have been sent by terrorists but I am not going to be scared by such threats."
The Bhopal Police has registered a case under Section 326 (Voluntarily causing grievous hurt) and 507 (Criminal intimidation by an anonymous communication) of the Indian Penal Code against unidentified persons.
